The classes provide a wonderful introduction to
theatre,
as well as expansion of theatre knowledge.
Students of all ages learn useful tools for public speaking, interacting
& listening. Some of the topics covered include: creative dramatics,
improvisation, pantomime, script work, rhythm exercises, techniques, terms,
stage directions, enunciation & projection. Teachers are local & have
many years of teaching and acting experience.
Classes take place on the stage of the Park's indoor theatre. The only local
youth drama class to put the students right on a real stage.
Call the Park office to register. You may request a registration form be
mailed or faxed to you, or you may print one from this website.

*11 year olds may choose between either group.
In the older class, students will also learn
techniques in makeup, costume, lighting, sound and set design.
It’s a fun five hours of learning a lot—
and, yes, they get an extra break!
